The first Kalandar was drinking with his nephew. Having agreed that he would obey whatever his nephew wished, he entombs his nephew with a beautiful lady. The next day, he returns to his father's palace but is imprisoned by the Wazir, who has taken power. As the Kalandar once accidentally took the Wazir's eye, the Wazir pokes out one of his eyes and has him sent to be killed. However, the executioner takes pity on him and sets him free. He finds his uncle, but the Wazir comes to attack the uncle's kingdom, and the uncle is killed. The Kalandar flees to the city of Baghdad in disguise, where he meets the other two Kalandars.
The lady says he is free to go, but he chooses to stay and hear the story of the second Kalandar.
