The Genie of the Ring, also referred to as the spirit or slave of the ring, is a djinn bound to serve the owner of a magic ring. The sorcerer gives Aladdin the ring to protect him when he enters the cave, and Aladdin later discovers the genie and has him take him home. The genie of the ring does not appear again until Aladdin has lost the princess and his palace and been driven to the point of despair. He then remembers the genie and has him transport him to the palace.
This genie is much less powerful than the Genie of the Lamp.
