Sinbad begins to want to travel again, but the crew becomes lost. The ship sinks and Sinbad and some survivors make it to a peninsula. They find treasure, but some of the crew starves to death. When everyone is gone, Sinbad resumes his journey and builds a raft which he fills with treasure. He makes it to an island where he gives the king treasure and is honored. Sinbad is eventually sent by these people to tell his story to Caliph Harun al-Rashid. After that, Sinbad returns home once more.
Another feasts follows the telling of this story, and once again Sinbad the Landsman receives a hundred dinars and an invitation to the house for the next day.
